I remember these old cartoons

When I was a child, in Alamosa at the end of the ’50s, we used to get up early and watch the cartoons that came on KOB-TV from sign-on (TV stations used to go off the air — uh, TV stations used to come to the house over “broadcast” by radio frequency signals instead of cable — anyway, TV stations used to go off the air after the Late Movie or Jack Paar, and not come back on until around 5:30AM with the Farm Report) from sign-on to about 7AM. These were the cheapest thing they could find to show between the Farm Report and the time normal people got up.

We say all sorts of fascinating stuff; anything animated would show up, from Mighty Mouse to Popeye, to things like this:

I kind of wish people still saw these things.
