Joe the Plumber Rumor #2: not a licensed plumber

Same guy, Jonathan Martin:

The Toledo Blade is reporting that Joe the Plumber is actually not licensed.

The difficulty? Residential plumbers don’t require licenses in Ohio.

Update: this has gone through a lot of grinding, but the bast I can make of it:

  • Joe is working as an apprentice plumber for a contractor that has an Ohio license.
  • Neither Joe nor his employer has a city license in one city in Ohio that requires them.
