I just watched the first episode of HBO’s True Blood. It absolutely killed. I loved it.
How in the hell did a girl from Manitoba (via New Zealand) learn to do a Louisiana accent that well? I honest to God got on IMDB to see where she was born.
Anna Paquin may be on her way to being a real movie star: among other things, she’s really good at spotting material that she can make work unexpectedly. And she likes to work; she’ll take a gig like this when other Academy Award Winning Actresses might not.
Here’s a review that seems reasonable.
