Oh, and by the way, our politicians lost the war in Vietnam, but John McCain won his war. Those bastards beat him but they didn’t break him, and he walked away from their torture and is running for President of the United States. He won, even when our politicians were busy losing. He won his war, and your sneering at him doesn’t change that. He’s a better man than Obama will ever be, if for no other reason than that. And yes, surviving a prison camp DOES get him points on the political scale with me. He has character, whatever his many flaws, and is strong and courageous. He deserves our respect, even if we don’t vote for him, and I find your sneering at his service unendurable.
